Adventures in stamping

Two blog posts in a week. I am on a roll! Today I'm working on making some stamps for a series of new paintings. I like working with the positive and the negative space. When I was a teacher, this was so hard for kids to figure out. In other news, it is snowy and slushy out but it is supposed to be in the 70s this weekend. What? I'd love for spring to come. Although, I try to embrace all weather and seasons now.

The purpose of art.......

Hi there. Here is what is going on in my studio today. I had an idea to illustrate quotes by artists. It's fun! I love this quote by Picasso "The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls." Profound, right? Not sure which quote to pick next. Know any good ones?

There are new original mixed media paintings and prints in the Etsy shop. Check it out here. The Raw show went great! Thanks for all that came out to support emerging artists! It was a long day. So, today I am lounging in my pjs. It is snowing outside and there are many cups of tea in my future.
